As a Junior Windows Systems Administrator, you will support day-to-day Windows infrastructure operations, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, patching, and endpoint administration. You will assist with troubleshooting, PowerShell-based administration, security hardening, and compliance activities while building hands-on experience across enterprise Microsoft and VMware environments.

What you will do

  • Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers.
  • Assist with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy administration.
  • Support Microsoft Exchange, VMware environments, and managed endpoints.
  • Perform user access administration, patching, vulnerability remediation, and routine system maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot server, system, and user-reported issues.
  • Support Windows Server STIG compliance and NIST 800-53 audit activities.
  • Use PowerShell for routine administration and reporting.
  • Participate in the rotational on-call schedule.

What we are looking for

  • 1 to 3 years of Windows system administration, IT infrastructure, or related experience.
  • Foundational experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Basic PowerShell scripting knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server administration, patching, and security practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience or training.
  • For cleared roles, ability to meet applicable citizenship and clearance requirements.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to MECM/SCCM, WSUS, Certificate Services, or PXE imaging.
  • VMware or Microsoft 365 administration experience.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server STIGs and NIST 800-53.
  • Security+ or Microsoft certification.
