Junior Network Engineer (TS/SCI Cleared)

Bluu Kazi is seeking a Junior Network Engineer to support secure, mission-critical network infrastructure in Washington, D.C. This opportunity is ideal for an early-career networking professional with hands-on experience in network administration, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise infrastructure in a Department of Defense or other regulated environment.You will work alongside experienced network engineers and cybersecurity professionals to maintain reliable, secure network operations while building expertise in DoD networking standards and classified environments.

• Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco, Juniper, and other enterprise network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Monitor network availability, performance, and connectivity using tools such as SolarWinds.

• Troubleshoot common network issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, routing, and switching.

• Provide Tier I/II technical support and escalate complex incidents to senior engineers.

• Apply approved security configurations and assist with DISA STIG compliance checks and remediation.

• Support authorized personnel with configuration and maintenance activities involving secure communications equipment.

• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, device inventories, and configuration records.

• Collaborate with network administrators and cybersecurity teams to resolve operational issues.

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of hands-on network administration, infrastructure support, or network engineering experience.

• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI layers, VLANs, subnetting, routing, and switching.

• Experience troubleshooting Cisco or equivalent network devices.

• CompTIA Security+ CE or another customer-accepted baseline certification, with qualifications aligned to applicable DoD 8140 requirements.

• CCNA or JNCIA certification.

• Exposure to DoD networks or other classified environments.

• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, ACAS, or network vulnerability assessments.

• Basic understanding of COMSEC devices and procedures.

• Experience with SolarWinds, VMware, or Windows/Linux administration.

• Prior military or government contracting experience.
