Staff Software Engineer, Platform and Security

Our client, a national vacation-rental technology company, is hiring a Staff Engineer to build, secure and scale its infrastructure end to end. You will lead DevOps transformation, architect secure-by-default systems and set the standard for how the engineering organization adopts AI tooling, influencing platform architecture across multiple teams.

• Lead CI/CD pipeline design, Kubernetes strategy and cloud infrastructure reliability.
• Architect secure infrastructure by default: secrets management, least-privilege IAM, vulnerability scanning and compliance guardrails.
• Apply AI-assisted development with rigor and set standards for responsible use.
• Own platform reliability: SLOs, incident response and lower MTTD and MTTR through observability.
• Design reusable infrastructure-as-code modules in Terraform or Pulumi.
• Act as primary decision-maker for platform architecture across teams and lead tech-debt initiatives.

• Staff-level experience in platform, DevOps or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep Kubernetes, CI/CD and public cloud experience.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform or Pulumi at scale.
• Strong cloud security practice: IAM, secrets management, vulnerability management.
• Track record of leading incident response and improving reliability with SLOs.

• Experience leading DevOps transformation in a scaling company.
• Compliance experience (SOC 2 or PCI) embedded as engineering guardrails.
